For me the local guide programme is not a place to put photos or just passing the local guide levels but it is something which gives me the platform and provides an opportunity to make new friends throughout the globe who are involved in this field also get to know new places without being there .
Through this programme a person like me who used to be little introvert has become more socially active and responsible.
Now I’m going to tell the story from where this all started- Two years back , when I moved from my village to this beautiful and huge city Mumbai, I was all lost . For me it was very difficult to understand that how to go somewhere or how to reach a destination without being confused. This all was making it very tough to survive here.
The scenario was such that- I was not aware of any of the places of Mumbai or where this place belongs , how to reach there and what is ambiance of that place or what are the things which are required to carry or use at that place.When I used ask people about those places , sometimes I got completely irrelevant information which didn’t help in positive way but resulted in confusing me more.
And in all these circumstances I came across to this programme of local guide . There I got to know that we can get completely unfiltered photos of various places and reviews which will definitely help to know the place in better way .
Once I went a trust hospital for a treatment , I saw board where names of the doctors , their timings and what treatment they provide was mentioned. I took a picture of that board and uploaded it on Google profile of the hospital. After this I started getting notifications that my photos had got many views and likes. This encouraged me to upload more photos . And I started writing reviews also which helped people to know the places.

Currently, I wanted to visit a dermatologist for hair loss problem. There were many options of such clinics but this unabled me to know that to whom to visit finally. In this situation ,the reviews given by various local guides helped me a lot to reach the best dermatologist and saved my time and money both .
Also I have added an ATM and shops on Google map . This things were not added so by adding them I gave them a digital recognition which has given me a satisfaction that I have done something different and good. So this local guide programme is very meaningful to me because it works in the social field and giving them a digital recognition , so for me it is inspiring .
