Hi, my name is Muhammad Umar Qureshi and I am a local guide of Google maps from Rawalpindi Pakistan. Currently I am at level 6. Before Google maps whenever I had to travel to a new place in my city and country it was very difficult for me as I have faced alot of difficulties and hurdles due to my little knowledge about the place and there was no other option available except to ask from the people who were going along side the road but people are not always in the mood of helping you and sometimes they are just there for giving you false directions for the sake of fun and as a consequence you suffer alot. In my opinion Local guide program is a great initiative taken by the Google and by using the Google maps we can take benefit of the experience of someone else who has been through the way. Google maps guide you to the desired location without any hurdle or without delays and also we can share our side of the story with others. If there is a problem with the map we can suggest an edit so that others won’t have to counter the hurdles we have faced and to me the local guide program is very important because by using this I can save people from losing their way to the destination by sharing my experiences with them. I don’t want others to face difficulties in finding their path they can use the experience of other people and myself for a trouble free journey. And this has all happen due to ggogle maps. Thank you Google maps for making our journey trouble free and time efficient and thank you Google for making this happen.
