What does Live music actually mean ?

Hello Local guides ,

I always wondered what does live music to a place meant ? Does it mean a band inside the playing live or just music running in the background with electronics in action ?

A clarification would help me answer it accurately .

For me, it means : Is there sometimes a band playing live music like a concert!

@NarenChandra , “live music” means a live band or live singers.

Hello @NarenChandra

For me and people from my country which is New Zealand though I would think it means this everywhere it is the following.

  • A band or group of people singing / playing music / songs live and in person FYI = Real people in person.

And not

  • A music player / MP3 player / sound system / DVD player etc playing music while connected to speakers. FYI = From a source and not in person.

I.E , Someone playing a music video from Youtube is not live music.
