For me, Google Maps is like a photo album but with a purpose. After I got a smartphone with a good camera in 2017, I started taking pictures of literally everything. I realized that I could use my new hobby to help others by sharing detailed reviews on Google Maps. I still consider myself a beginner, but my pictures have received over 60.000 views so far, which to me is pretty significant. However, I am not doing it for the views or the likes, I share my honest reviews about places I have visited to give back to the amazing Google Maps and Local Guide community. Wether its a restaurant, pharmacy or a service provider, I believe a review can help the decision making process of others in this busy world, where time is so precious.
I have also started answering questions about wheelchair accessibility, sitting opportunities and parking, because I know many people have these questions before visiting a place. I really hope I can make others’ lives better along with my fellow Local Guides by sharing valuable information with them. It is really fulfilling to know that I potentially helped someone with my short reviewes and photographs. So what do I love to share most on Google Maps? My everyday experiences that could be useful to others in any way, preferably with photos! My plan for the future is to get even more involved and contribute to Google Maps more frequently.
