As it clear from post’s name the talk would be about sharing on Google Maps.
From the first sight the question seems very simple. By all means everyone could answer “places rate and reviews!” But if we will take a closer look, we would see things much more complicated than it seems. Google Maps provides various options for users to be instrumental: reviews, answers, translation, photos, questions from other users and etc. You will find my top list things I like sharing the most below:

Certainly my top starts from photos. First, visualization allows the users to get proper imagination what is the place is. Second, even if the users do not want spend time for reading or they are not familiar with foreign language, the picture would give high level of representation. And third, I do like making photos. Especially with Pixel 3 ?

The essential part of Google Maps is rating. That is surely important for many people to understand the average rating of place or event. The more assessments would be done, the more accurate the rating will be. I wish sometimes the Google rating system has 10 points (stars) instead of 5, because I was torn between two close stars several times.

The review itself with logical argumentation. As user got the photo and the mark, he wants to understand why is was scored this way. Especially if user’s expectation is another than the actual rating. I do appreciate Google for extra points for long reviews! I used to wright 1-2 phrases earlier, but now more detailed analysis is more often.

Last but not least is Place update (time of work, relocation, repair etc). I can assume that this kind of data I am posting as quick as possible. To avoid any other people meet the same problem as me.
The bottom line is that the impact should be complex and multipurpose: decent review with nice picture and objective rating; and posted as quick as possible xD.
Nevertheless, the priority should be indicated by the user. For mine individual part, I am such kind of person who always sets a high bar. Whatever the action is: washing the dishes at home, operating 5-million-dollars microscope, playing soccer, or sharing on Google Maps.
Thus I hope my successful reviews would encourage new Google Maps users to join to our community.
