Has it ever happened to you?
You go to a lovely looking new restaurant, or a hotel with not that many reviews, expecting a pleasant experience, only to find the food in the restaurant appalling, the server rude, and the hotel falling apart?

On the other hand, has it happened to you that you go to a small restaurant for a quick lunch, not expecting much, and ending up having the meal of your lifetime?

It has to me, and many times at that!
And it has always made me want to share my experience with others, whether to tell them to avoid the place at all costs or to tell them the spot is a must do – in any case, it made me want to share my story of the place!
And that’s why I started reviewing on Google Maps – everyone uses them, so I can reach many people with my experiences, and in a small way I think this helps improve the world for everyone, making it more likely that a place that is able to offer us an unforgettable experience will succeed, giving back to the people in charge of the business that put in so much effort and energy. On the other hand, I want to share the bad experiences; it might make the owners consider something should be done differently, or at least prevent some people from experiencing the same!
I am lucky that I get to travel around the world quite a bit, and I have lived in three different countries so far – moving to the fourth one in a month (Paris, I plan to review every single croissant in the city!). This lets me explore and compare places all over the world, which I am more than happy to share with the others, especially if it’s about the best brunch I have ever had or what I thought was probably the worst coffee in the Northern Hemisphere!
In a nutshell, what do I care most about the reviews I post on Google Maps? To tell you about the memorable experiences I had – the places you must visit, and the places you must avoid - to make the world just a teeny tiny bit nicer!
