What did I discover being a local guide?

When I became a teenager, I got into the habit of researching the places I wanted to meet. Good or bad reviews, prices, accessibility, testimonials. I used to based all my tours on this. I wondered who supplied the information from these places until I get an email from Google inviting me to be a local guide. I accepted promptly, still not understanding how it worked. with time, I started to enjoy the “work” and dedicate myself a little more.

I once had a bad experience in a restaurant because the menu did not specify the ingredients of the meals and could have some item that caused me allergies. I wrote a review for the restaurant, suggesting the change of menu. To my surprise, I was promptly answered, and reading from the comments of my evaluation, I realized that I have helped many allergy sufferers to beware of poorly written menus and restaurants without care.

Being a local guide is changing people’s lives even in small things. The change of society comes from small things!

Thanks for sharing your experience with that restaurant. Although I don’t focus many of my reviews or pictures about them, I found extremely helpful the time that local guides like you spend on describing the menu itself or the taste of the food.
