What Being A Local Guide Mean To Me ( Temple, Nigeria)

Hi Guys I’m Temple from Nigeria and I would like to share with you what being a local guide means to me personally. Well I came across the local guide platform after some of my reviews about a few places that I had visited started getting some attention. I became more interested in the community and I was committed to making more contributions. The experience so far has completely changed the way I see my local environment and places that I visit. In the past, I usually do not pay attention to reviews and didn’t know how important it is for people to look at reviews. So I have gradually moved from not reading other peoples reviews in the past to helping other people save time, money and their energy through my reviews about places of their interest. The fact that my contributions help other people to make an informed decision about places they intend to visit, what to expect from such places and even how to get to those places makes me feel like I am really making a difference. And as someone who is passionate about travel, people, local stories, cultures and food, the local guide community makes it easier for me to keep track of my activities and it has given me a different type of awareness about surroundings. Because of this program I have connected with more people, get to hear their stories and learn from them as well. The biggest impart for me is the joy of knowing that I am making a difference not just in the life of people around my community but beyond.
