While we know Thanksgiving is an American holiday, we think giving thanks and expressing words of gratitude is something that we can all share around the world.
Even if you do not celebrate the holiday this Thursday, we want to know what you’re thankful for. If it’s a fellow Local Guide, be sure to tag them and tell them how you feel.
We’ll start to kick things off. Here on Connect, we are so thankful for this incredibly passionate community of Local Guides around the world that we have the opportunity to communicate and share experiences with.
What are you thankful for? Tell us in the comments below.
@KatieMcBroom I am extremely family-oriented and so very, very thankful that they choose to put up with me as I do not make it easy but I do LOVE them so much! Also, as time passes I am more and more thankful for good health as it often gets overlooked but is so very important — THANK YOU for both!!!
I am thankful for our community ‘Bangladesh Local Guides’! where I meet more than hundreds of people.

@KatieMcBroom good morning, the things I´m proud and give thanks is: Belonging, to Belong to a beautiful country, Belong to a family that cares for you, Belong to a community that positively helps you grow as human and knowledge, Belong to the world!
What a lovely way to show your gratitude. Thank you @KatieMcBroom for bringing up this topic. I am thankful for everything in my life. I am thankful for the wonderful friends that I made through Connect. I am thankful for the support that I get from the community, especially from Bangladesh Local Guide. I am thankful for the opportunity that I got through Local Guides program to see the wonderful world through my friends’ eyes. I am thankful for the life I am living. But above all, and most importantly, I am thankful for every breath that I take and leave. I am thankful that I am alive.
I am thankful both for my nuclear family (my wife, kids, siblings, parents) and my Local Guides family both in the U.S. and abroad. I have an easy time being thankful for such a kind and supportive community, especially on Connect. We are so blessed to have this hobby of helping Maps and seeing thousands of others who are out there snapping photos, writing reviews, making edits, and adding content doing exactly the same even in the moment of typing this.
First of all…Thank you @KatieMcBroom to this fantastic post!!
Personally I think that the gratitude to different thing might change according to the country,
As a Western, I had the chance to read allot about Oriental philosophy which has changed a lot of my personal way of seeing the world.
That’s why I’m not only thankful not only for life in general but also the smallest thing, from the daily experiences to my morning coffee ( seriously who isn’t thankful for that in the morning XD)
Appreciation helps us see the world in better shape…so thanks Google for giving me the chance of meeting in person such a beautiful community
