What are two things you consider when taking a picture of a building?

I was going through my Camera album on my phone and noticed that I always take into account angles and lighting when capturing a building.

Lighting. I am conscious about this, because I don’t like to edit my pictures or use much filter so you’ll often see me moving around to get the right lighting.

Angles. I rarely take a picture that of a building just facing forward and if I do, there’s a very high chance it’s accompanied with another photo on Google Maps. I have a wandering mind as well and often put myself in others’ shoes. If an individual sees one side of a building, it’s a natural thought to wonder what’s on the other side.

I have driven past this bank (image above) many times but stopped to admire its beauty one sunny day.

Hey @ChinonsoOnukwugha ,

These are some nice tips you pointed out there.

Since I am just a newbie in the Photography field, I can’t share any tips. I can only suggest two articles we have here on Connect, regarding the same matter. First one is How to take photo of architecture and another interesting publication on the same topic is How to take unique photos of popular landmarks. Why don’t you check them? I think you might find them interesting.

P.S.: Just to let you know that I’m redacting the title of your publication so it gets clear what the post is about and more people interested in building photography can enjoy it.

Thanks @Bobiisha ! I’m used to cliffhangers when writing but note taken on your suggestions.

Thank you for sharing the articles as well. Read the tips on each article and found those interesting and quite useful.

I consider the background : even though pictures are still. Can the pix speak ?

The access signature in this your case spoke to me. I really need not ask where is this ?

Kudos
