Can we have in the future as Google Local Guides a badge? It will be easy for us to take pictures and let others trust us more. Yes, we volunteer and we love to do that and with a badge, it will be an honor for us.

Just imagine the legal trouble issuing 150 million ID cards when Google would become responsible for that many volunteers actions.
The chances of misuse are huge. Many businesses owners would do a lot to please someone from Google to get more and more favorable mentions on Google Maps.
You can use your profile page in the mobile app to explain what you are doing.

@SunshineNY Once in a while when I’m taking photos for Maps I get asked of what I’m doing (very rare though). When that happen, I just pull up my phone, open the Google Maps app, and open the ‘Contribute’ section, and then go to my profile. That basically serves as my ‘badge’ or ‘Local Guides ID’ . It’s also very easy to explain to those asking, how the system works (add image, write reviews, etc). I even converted someone to be a Local Guide on the spot after doing this.
You can do the same whenever you feel the need of having a Local Guides badge

@iyudhi ok and thank you. It’s usually what I am doing when I ask someone for taking pictures of his/her place but most places, I don’t need to to talk to anybody and I take pictures. They love that and I got some thanks from them.
