Kerinci Hello, my name is Nopri, a student at a private college in Jambi province. In this post, I would like to share my story when I joined the Gunung Kerinci Clean Action Activities. Which one is Mount Merapi which is still active at an altitude of 3805 meters above sea level or people often call it the Sumatran roof. I and a team of 30 people used a vehicle borrowed from the Disbudparpora, a short story about the time we spent around 11 hours, and our journey began at 8:00 at night the route we passed was quite pleasant, where the road that weaved made us waking from sleep. When you have entered the Kerinci region, we see a beautiful scenery in the morning, you can imagine that previously lived in a city with various kinds of pollution and upon arrival in Kerinci with fresh air in the morning. Around 7 am we arrived in the city of Kerinci “a lump of land from heaven”. After we searched for other needs to climb, starting from logistics, first aid, and other needs, after our trip, we continued the journey where we passed the highest tea garden in Southeast Asia and the widest. Before entering the camp from Mount Kerinci (R10) we will see a tiger monument that will pull us out. Because we arrived at around 3 o’clock in the afternoon, we had to camp on the R10 to rest before continuing the next day’s journey. At night we gathered to discuss the technicalities in the field at the time of the clean action. Right at 11 we all take a break (zzzzzzz). Then in the morning we all did breakfast, packing and at 10 o’clock we were ready to travel for clean action, divided into teams. And I got part for shelter 3, so when we walked from R10 we focused on reaching shelter 3 before dark, but it was a pity we had emergency camps to cope with the field conditions and tired physical conditions. My advice to readers is not to force if our conditions or the weather do not support because the mountain can all be beyond human reason. Furthermore, after we set up the tent we continued cooking for dinner and at that time it was already 10pm. Then we continued to rest, and in the morning at 7 we returned to cooking breakfast and packing tents. At 9 o’clock we continued the journey from the emergency camp site to shelter 3, and we arrived at shelter 3 at 3 pm. Then immediately set up a tent watching the weather at that time was blustery, a natural thing indeed, but for beginners like me I was quite afraid of the strong wind. Then at night we returned to a meeting for clean action. I don’t feel the clock shows half past twelve, and we take a break. In the morning we did not forget to have breakfast for the energy so that it was clean and clean. And at 9 we have moved to clean up, and are working with other climbers to collect other garbage including their own garbage. At half past twelve we rested, resumed at 3 pm considering the hot weather, we did the afternoon until 5 o’clock. And it was done the next day, the third day we had to go down and bring plastic garbage, by the way we entrust everyone who want to go down. And at least they carry their own garbage. Long story short we have come down from the mountain, of course with obstacles and wet weather, because at that time it was raining. The garbage that we collect is pretty much around 20 large pieces of plastic with a total weight of about 200kg. That’s about
because I don’t know how to weigh all the garbage. My message, please bring our trash again – each down. Let’s take care of the mountain well. Because the mountain is not a rubbish bin. After that we made the trip home with a 12-hour trip, and what happened I could not take the midterm. But I am happy because I can help protect our nature. Thank you to the readers for visiting this abalone blog
