This is David and I lead the Google team here in NYC. On behalf of everyone in the team, I wanted to take a moment to welcome you all to the new Connect forum. This wouldn’t have been possible without the incredibly helpful inputs from our fantastic Connect Moderators. A big thank you to all of them – you rock !
Please tell us what you think! Use this feedback form to let us know your overall sentiment in a few clicks. It would be immensely helpful for us to get a better sense of the community’s enthusiasm.
You can also share in the form more specific ideas or suggestions and anything that you’d like to see improved or added. We’re eager to hear your feedback and make this platform even better.
I’m also committed to being more active here, so I’m looking forward to engaging more with all of you.
Danke für das Willkommen vom Team @David_K
Ich habe bereits das Feedback benutzt,
Einiges gefällt mir besser zum anderen wünsche ich mir die alte Übersetzung Möglichkeit zurück.
Alles im allem, danke an euch
Thank you so much @David_K , it’s an immense pleasure to see you here, together with all the amazing NY team.
I will let you have my feedback soon, but I want to play a bit more with this new amazing platform first, to make sure to share an effective report, and not just an initial feeling.
Hi @David_K !
Great to see you here, thanks for the new Connect, it’s great to use it on mobile and I think our community will be more involved using it this way!
I have added some ideas to the form (since testing) and I hope they help for future improvements
Thank you for taking the time to address us on the new and improved connect forum. It’s all new you see,so we are still explore different aspects of it
Hoped soon we will get to master it and be happy as well. There are lots of new features and functions which were not in the former set-up.
We look forward to more interactions with you and others on the team here on connect.
@David_K, I plan to fill out the form after spending more time on the site, as @ErmesT suggested. For now, since you’re planning to engage more in the community, here are some initial observations:
The site layout now feels more like the Help Community format, and I noticed that the roadmappers or AR panels on the side are gone. Also, moderators don’t seem to be listed as before—were they reclassified? For example, I’m seeing @ErmesT, @AdrianLunsong, @MortenCopenhagen, and @AdamGT listed as Level 10 mappers rather than as moderators. Can we get an updated list in web view of moderators with the logos so we understand the tier for future guidance purposes. Also any information on the goals for the site. Are you guys trying to push this to self managed and a language model style forum or keep it hands on human interactions? Thanks.
Thank you for sharing the feedback form @David_K
I’ve used it several times in the past week to report bugs and provide feedback.
The new Connect forum appears increasingly user-friendly and better as we discover and use its features daily.
Other than a few wrinkles and teething troubles, the overall look and feel, and the user-experience of the new Connect is awesome.
@MortenCopenhagen you now have the Orange Badge Check. It seems like the site is the version of updates in maps that was previously removed. I appreciate that it works seamlessly across desktop and mobile without an app.
Thank you @David_K for sharing Feedback form and your warm welcome to the community.
I will definitely share my thoughts and suggestions with the team.
Shukriya
Thank you for the warm welcome and for the exciting new version of the Connect! It’s fantastic to see the new features and improvements. It’s a lot of fun exploring everything! We appreciate all the hard work you have put into making this platform much better!
I’ll definitely be using the form again to share my feedback.
With such an engaged community, I’m sure there will be many Local Guides here providing their feedback in the next several weeks after they get a chance to “test drive” the new Connect.
Thanks again with providing the Feedback Form link.
