This Weekend Maps Challenge is to update as many Christmas shopping places as you can in a 24hr period. Keep track of your contributions during your 24hrs and let us know you’re participating by sharing your results here. Most contributions wins. First prize is bragging rights. Ps Locally, here in Western Australia, we’ve been waiting for construction at Mandurah Forum to be completed and Maps satellite imagery for the area to be updated. A friend from Mandurah let us know Mandurah Forum construction is now complete. This morning we happily discovered that the area is up to date on satellite view. So today we’re heading to Mandurah to help update all the places at Mandurah Forum for Christmas shoppers. Anyone who can make it is welcome to join us there for a short notice map edit meet-up

Yes, places where people can buy Christmas presents for each other, like malls, shopping centres and so on.
If you want to participate for a region where it’s unusual to celebrate Christmas, you’re welcome and invited to join in the challenge. Contribute for places where the most people will shop in December.

Tally for Osaka78: We visited Mandurah Forum and made contributions for 98 places on Maps in 24 hrs. It was a big day with 3 hrs driving and 6 hrs walking. Drank 3 coffees and ran phone battery flat 1 and a half times. Met many lovely locals and enjoyed this challenge a lot. Mandurah’s Christmas cheer is in full swing. Kind regards from Osaka78
