Apologies to a delayed start to Week 3’s challenge post! It’s been a manic past few days and with the crazy heat wave that we’re experiencing in the UK, I’m operating in “slug mode” at the moment and very slowly catching up on things!
The past two challenges had a bit of a past/present theme to them so Week 3’s challenge is going to swing it to a forward looking view to tackle the question of what do you want Connect to be in the coming months/years? You can write about how the changing world is affecting the way we use Connect! And share your ideas for a better Connect at the Idea Exchange.
A few notes about Idea Exchange:
Before you start writing out a new idea, please do a search first in Idea Exchange to see if others have already submitted a similar idea. If there is one already there, you can add a Like/comment to it to voice your support too!
Please submit one idea per post. It makes it easier for the Local Guides team and the community to evaluate your idea individually.
Please provide some details/explanation to your ideas so that they are clear and easy to understand.
And just to be clear, you don’t need to re-post your idea in the comments below but do share with us the link to the your idea so that we can check it out!
There are tons of amazing idea on Idea Exchange, so even if you don’t have an idea to add, you can just browse around the multitude of ideas and support the ones that you love!
Because too many event related with connect birthday for this month ,I think the right slogan for our lovely connect is happy birthmonth local guides connect ahahaha…

I have An idea for week 3 challenge. . Hope it serves the intended purpose as required. I have searched the forum and am sure that’s a new idea. If per chance there is a similar one,I’ll be happy enough if it’s merged by our dear moderators . Please look it up and tell us if it qualifies for the challenge or not.
@davidhyno Your idea made me think of submitting this idea: I’m not sure if it’s that useful for everyone but I know it would be useful for me! It’s basically a private lists showing all the posts that I’ve opened/read.
Week 3 shaping connect to me would be a community of local guides all coming together online and making this even more epic. With the way the world is we need to interact w and share our digital experience to those that cAnt get out , or are trying g to plan future travel. I can’t wait
@Yannick_S I avoid using mobile for Local Guides Connect because I find it too difficult to do the things that I want to do! For replying, reading and checking out Connect, I think the mobile is fine but I struggle to write long post on it as I usually need to have several tabs opened (in the browser) to copy links over to the post! That said, I know that loads of people use Connect on mobile so the idea is absolutely valid!
@Dnolan608 Yup, absolutely! I don’t think a lot of the Local Guides community are aware of or use the Connect web site! We really need to spread the word and get as many people to join the Connect community!

I hope @TraciC and the whole team will think about it, because there are parts of this world where the connection is still lacking, yet they would also like to enjoy what we have here on Connect.
