In Nigerian weddings, marriage is very important in Igbo (Ibo) culture and the traditional rites attached to the union arent taken lightly by families involved.
Traditional marriages of these people from the south-east part of Nigeria are deemed very festive, colorful and are divided into four main parts.
Unfortunately, tradition doesn’t recognize the modern kind of proposal where the man gets down on one knee and proposes to his girlfriend
Although proposal is an important aspect of courtship. It can be done before the marriage rites.
Today I was invited to a wedding as a Wedding Guest.
Igbo wedding are very beautiful with loud music and lots of food to eat. I came with an empty belly to this my friend wedding @Ant_Bad_Yogi@Nyainurjanah .
combination of fried and jellof rice all in one plate.
You know like my friend @Ant_Bad_Yogi some people here in Nigeria want to eat all delicacies all in one, so they prefer to eat both jellof and fried rice.
I’m very glad you invited me to watch this post. I’m so glad you went out to the wedding. Thank you.
We have traditions in Russia, but we don’t have to follow them. For example, there is a tradition of doing a great competition for the groom. He has to go to the bride through the other of the people. Guests can ask him questions about the size of the shoes, the height of the bride, the date of birth of his mother-in-law. If he doesn’t answer the question he pays the money in the piggy bank. Different very different contests. Then everyone goes to the building where they sign the documents. Then walk and cafes. However, many note differently. Some simply sign documents and go to rest in another country. Journey. Others collect cafes without competitions and a large feast., others celebrate with relatives at home or do not celebrate.
But in most cases we have a year or two of preparation spree for the wedding. Usually big weddings. Weddings also have a tradition of celebrating the second day
On the second day go to have fun or something. Or just at home. Thank you

Really great. That is so lovely @user_not_found . It is a sad thing that culture and traditions are depreciating greatly.
Here in Nigeria, we do Christian wedding but if you don’t do the traditional part, the bride would think that something is missing on her part. And she would try as much as possible to pressure you.
The paper work are done either in the church or in court.
But tradition marriage is paramount even if you do not want to do a ceremony for it.
Thank you dear @user_not_found for sharing your experiences with us on connect.
There is still a tradition of wearing rings on the right hand. Ring finger.
These rings are very expensive, they are made of diamonds, so we did not buy, but the photo remained.
@Austinelewex , if not for the respect of my in-laws, i would have shown you the long list of items and things to provide for my in-laws. Marriage rites and customs can make one sick and frustrating…but my God conquard them for me
Great feed @Austinelewex I was at the wedding too and can affirm to all you have said. I really enjoyed the delicacies served at the event, most especially the Fried Rice and chicken . What are your remarks on the food?? Because Judging from your previous write ups on Local Nigerian Delicacies, it’s evident you’re good with Traditional recipe
So I managed to put Austin in the right position
now follow the questions.
1.What computing power did I use? @user_not_found
2.Is any monitor in the normal working position? @Austinelewex
3.What is the best device? @C_T
4. Is the picture from Austin’s wedding? @Ant_Bad_Yogi
5. Is the picture educational? @Nyainurjanah
I answer the question. An average Asus computer for office tasks is no more. And there may be a powerful computer under the table, but it is not in the photo. Great photo.
alwasys welcome brother @Austinelewex
