My fellow Cambodia Local Guide and I are now ready for our journey to Connect Live Singapore.
Besides preparing our stories and community experiences, we also prepared some small gifts that represent Cambodia to share with Local Guides from different countries.
We are bringing:
- White, black, and red Kampot pepper
- Cambodian krama and small souvenirs
- Souvenirs featuring the Cambodian flag, Angkor Wat, the Independence Monument, and Khmer culture
- Personalized shirts and Local Guides Cambodia shirts printed
- Cambodia Local Guides stickers
- A few postcards and Cambodian riel banknotes
These gifts may be small, but each one represents a part of Cambodia—our culture, local products, identity, and community spirit.
We are not only bringing gifts. We are also bringing the stories and voices of the Cambodia Local Guides community, including our experience improving Google Maps, organizing meet-ups, building the community, and raising important mapping issues from Cambodia.
This journey is not only about the two of us. It also represents the support and contributions of our core team, community members, and everyone who has helped Cambodia Local Guides grow.
We hope to share more about Cambodia with the global Local Guides community and bring new knowledge, connections, and inspiration back home.
