What I like the most about me contributing in Google, is to be useful for others.
I do not know if it’s because I’m a medical doctor or simply because I like to help people, but from here we can be useful for each and every user of Google Maps.
We help that girl who only needs to know if she can pay for her coffee with a credit card and not have to go to the ATM for cash.
Maybe it’s a family that wants to know if there are children’s games in that nearby restaurant.
Maybe it’s someone who is a fan of hamburgers (like me) and has a craving for one in his rest.
Maybe it’s a young man who wants to see photos of a certain place for that long-awaited first date with his crush.
Maybe it’s a grandmother who is going to go with her grandson to buy his birthday cake.
Maybe it’s a couple that wants their little dog to accompany them so they do not make a mess if they’re left alone at home.
Maybe it’s that woman who needs to know if that store can access with her wheelchair.
Or even a person who has just suffered an accident and needs useful and concrete data because he is very scared to search clearly for a hospital.
Whether large or small, needs arise from one moment to the next and even with a grain of sand, it is our privilege to be able to respond to them adequately.
Some friends have told me “why do you take pictures and make reviews? That nobody sees”. But it is quite comforting to see how long after they themselves are checking the reviews or seeing photos of the place where we go and I only with a smile saying “told you”.
I will continue doing this because it makes me happy.
