About 20 km east of Phu My district, Binh Dinh province, Vietnam (to the sea side) is Tan Phung village, in My Tho commune, Phu My district. From the bus station (from Quy Nhon to Phu My) on DT 639 to Tan Phung village about 5km, here there is a turn into fishing village and going straith to the sea shore. Arriving at the beach a few meters away from the water’s edge, there are very close houses, in April or May the coast was a few meters wider, making traveling easier. Looking to the left (north) is the position of the Dragon Cape about 100m away …In the dry season, small waves, wide coasts, it is possible to travel to the Dragon Cape by the road along the coast. However, it is impossible in the big wave season like this, I arrived at the end of January, so there was only the way above to cross the fishing village.
By this way, after going through some houses, the path is getting higher and higher and became narrower on the edge of the cliff near the sea side along with the undulating rocks gradually appeared, finally reaching position to see the Dragon Cape. Turn right a few meters, at first glance also looks a bit like the dragon’s head jutting out into the sea with the strange stones on the spine. If it is possible to continue, (this trail with a bit dangerous) we will see a big hole through the back of the dragon along in big rushing waves. There is no way to go down, watching from a position that is not very wide, really a spectacular landscape but feeling somewhat insecure because this position is quite high about a few dozen meters away from the sea level below…A special feature is the red stone color here, so there is an old story that : formerly, from a long long time ago when have no red ink yet, students often came here to get red stone to grind to make red ink for the teacher marks the lesson.
