Washington, DC - Live Museum

Anytime I am in DC, I always feel enamoured and enchanted about the city as a live museum because of the cluster of all the landmarks and monuments scattered all around: The White House, Lincoln Memorial, Washington Monument, National Mall, The Capitol Hill, Smithsonian Museums and other important Federal buildings.

You have to laud the ingenuity of the architect who designed the city, Pierre L’Enfant, for his astute use of space and voluptuous idea of what the city should symbolize. The allure of the city never failed to attract even a first time visitor to ostentatious use of marble and the sheer depth of craftsmanship you see on the buildings.

Washington, the District of Columbia, has the highest rate of lobbyists per square metre. All manners of issues have special interests working actively to promote those causes and issues. It has outsized stomach to swallow anything that get thrown at it.

The City never disappoint tourists and visitors as there is so much to see, savour in the culinary delights and interesting hospitality brands dotted all over to cater to all budgets. Of course, there are a lot of other cities particularly in Europe that even hold older histories, but DC is different and will continue to be in years to come.

Whatever brings you to town, DC will show you a different aspects of its hidden secrets if you take the time and patience to uncover them.
