Warteg ( Indonesian traditional restaurant)

Warteg is well known traditional restaurant in Indonesia, especially in Java Island; a relatively small island with more than 100 million population. It caters mostly low class, so it is identical to low price. In the capital city, Jakarta, and greater Jakarta there are estimated 34 thousands warteg registered in Kowarteg, an association for warteg and other thousands unregistered (Wikipedia).

This untapped business seemed forgotten for decades and even mishandled by idea to tax these small business which didn’t materialize.

Until early 2018, Peter Sheare launched an app Wahyoo. This man wants to digitalize the management of this very conventional traditional restaurant. Finally this economic forces which has contributed much and long in Indonesia got a proper hand to push and leadlit to compete in digital business era
