Isolation as a time for warm memories.
Last year’s vacation I spent in Kiev, Ukraine.
It is beautiful and friendly capital of the country. History and modernity intertwine here.
Let’s share our memories together while we stay at home .

It is interesting to see these views of Ukraine @Rymaszewsca what is your favourite place in the city?
Paul
@PaulPavlinovich My favorite place it is Khreschatyk-a popular and busy street in the city center. There are always a lot of musicians and youth.
In addition, the Bulgakov Museum, the mysterious house of the great writer, is nearby.
Hi @Rymaszewsca
Can you tell us more about your trip to Ukraine and where exactly did you go to? Was this your first visit to Ukraine? What made you go there?
I’ve heard many wonderful things about Lviv, but I’ve never been there. I’d like to explore it some day. I think it’s quite a fascinating country. Is this Kiev on the photos? It looks vibrant and lively.
Thanks for sharing!
Nice pictures! The country looks beautiful. Haven’t been yet, but it’s in my bucket list…
Hi @DanniS , of course) I visit Ukraine 1-2 times a year, my relatives live here. I really like this country for its climate, excellent cuisine, friendly people and attitude towards tourists. Acquaintance with Ukraine really should start from Kiev and Lviv. These are popular tourist cities where you will not get bored. Ukrainians say that Kiev is heart of country, and Lviv is soul.
Kiev-large, noisy, not compact and old, Lviv - small, comfortable, stylish, city-party, city-feast)
Yes, it is photos from Kiev, and photos from Lviv is in my profile
@Mohammed32 I wish you a pleasant trip there)
That’s great! Thanks so much for your comment. I’d love to visit both cities as they are different with different vibes. And for sure, the capital is always worth visiting in any country you’re going.
Your views of Kiev are very unusual.
@DanniS Kiev is a great and beautiful city, it’s ancient and modern at the same time, it’s green with it’s chestnut alleys, you can’t forget the majestic Dnieper, holy churches. As for me, I liked it in the beginning of May most of all, when Minsk is still grey and cold, and Kiev is warm, green and full of flowers. If you visit Kiev at this time you surely must visit Botanical garden with its great collection of lilac variety
Lviv is a different. It’s a small town. It’s very ancient, but it attracts the tourists not only by it’s architecture and narrow tangled streets, but by its numerous cafes, each having the unique character and incredible inventiveness of the owners.
Both cities are very different and are surely worth to be visited.
@OlgaKlimchik I’m totally agree with you! I will add that in Kiev there are several very beautiful metro stations, a very atmospheric Bessarabian market, a cool center of modern art “Pinchuk art center”, a transport-attraction funicular…
And in Lviv there are several viewing platforms with gorgeous views, as well as a lot of museums (museums of all ) - a museum of coffee, a museum of chocolate, a museum of weapons, a museum of beer, a museum of the USSR and others…
Really love your photos @Rymaszewsca
So vibrant and colorful. I wish in the future I could visit Kiev (after Covid19 pandemic has gone)
