1: Butter Chicken Sushi Roll at Yugo Sushi
Butter Chicken Sushi Roll is what the Bombay Roll at Yugo Sushi is better known as. If you aren’t one to find ‘paan’ macarons and gulab jamun cheesecakes blasphemous, you’ll love the slightly dry butter chicken (not a bad thing, can’t possibly have curry dripping through the roll) wrapped in nori sheet with pickled vegetables.
Where: Yugo Sushi, Shop No 8, Sefa House, A Wing, 7 Pali Mala Road, Pali Hill, Bandra
Meal for two: Rs 1,000
2: Chicken / Veg Shashlik at Kobe Sizzlers

Meal for two: Rs 500
4: Apple Pie at Yazdani Bakery & Restaurant
While most stop by at this Irani cafe for their bun maska and chai, the Apple Pie which is rich and tastes like an indulgent version of a homemade one, is a true hidden gem on their handwritten menu!
Where: Yazdani Bakery & Restaurant, Fountain Akbar Ally, Saint Thomas Cathedral, Fort
Meal for two: Rs 200
5: Ragda Pattice at Ram & Shyam
Here’s the thing, Ram & Shyam is nothing more than a food cart in Santacruz and sets up only by 3 pm, but the crowd that gathers close to their opening hour, consisting of regulars and curious onlookers, make this cart feel much larger than life. It’s tough to pick a favourite, so we suggest you eat the Ragda Pattice and pack some chaat to snack on later.
Where: Ram & Shyam, North Avenue, Santacruz West
Meal for two: Rs 150
6: Bombil Fry at Soul Fry
Soul Fry is known for two things - their karaoke nights on Mondays, and their unmatched Goan seafood menu, of which the Bombil Fry makes for a great starter or even an accompaniment to your meal.
Where: Soul Fry, Pali Mala Road, Opposite Pali Vegetable Market, Pali Hill, Bandra West
Meal for two: Rs 1,000
7: Ginger Cookies at American Express Bakery
From hearty sandwiches to cakes, tarts and cookies that won’t burn a hole in your pocket - the American Express Bakery has them all! Nothing beats their Ginger Cookies though, reminiscent of the ones that are sold by Marks & Spencer’s food section in London, but of course, at a fraction of the price.

Meal for two: Rs 250
8: Chicken Momos at Kepchaki Momos
Mumbai doesn’t have nearly as many varieties of momos or momo sellers when compared to Delhi. But what we lack in quantity, we make up for with quality and the authentic Nepalese momos at Kepchaki’s stall on Carter Road are a delicious example of that.
Where: Kepchaki Momos, 1A, Sangeet Samrat Naushad Ali Rd, Union Park, Pali Hill
Meal for two: Rs 200
