When I was a kid, traveling with my parents in the summer, we used to find a place to have icecream.
And I was looking for the biggest icecream cup I could find on the menu!
Usually the banana split was the winner
Not because it looked tasty, just because it was the biggest picture!
It was a good reward after a day visiting castles, walking throughout middle-age towns, or cycling through small villages in the South of France.
Having an icecream at the end of these long exhausting days was quite a treat, it just made my day!
I’ve kept this habit since then.
But my taste for icecreams has improved, and I’m now more picky on the places I go to.
I’m especially looking for homemade icecreams, or specific combinations of flavours, asking the tenant for advice.
Best I’ve taste so far ? white chocolate and fig … in a shop in Strasbourg, France.
The sugar put aside, it’s really a good way for me to raise my energy, to bring joy to my inner child when he’s under the weather.
And since I’m not the only one to like icecream, I try to share the best places I find here and there on google maps so that others can have that moment of joy for themselves too!
