Hello, fellow Local Guides!
I’ve been contributing regularly to Google Maps for around two years, and I’m just now making my way over to Local Guides Connect. Most of my contributions are firsthand reviews, photos, and updates from the places I visit.
I review just about anything I come across in my travels — restaurants, shopping, attractions, parks, trails, airports, hotels, recreation areas, and plenty of places that don’t always get much attention. I enjoy sharing useful details and photos that help people know what to expect before they arrive.
Somewhere along the way, the views started adding up. I’m currently approaching 185 million all-time photo views, with my photos lately averaging around 4 million views a week. Still a little wild to see!
For me, though, the most rewarding part isn’t the number. It’s knowing those photos and reviews are actually being seen — and that they might help someone decide where to go, what to expect, or whether a stop is worth making.
Now that I’ve finally joined Connect, I’m looking forward to learning from other Local Guides, sharing some of what I’ve picked up along the way, and seeing where this journey goes next.
