মানবতার দেয়াল - Wall of humanity.

One evening I was coming home from my office. Before entering into the lane of my house I saw a banner saying “ মানবতার দেয়াল- Wall of Humanity”. By seeing this I became both surprised and amazed at the same time. I became surprised because this seemed to me a very first idea of doing this kind of work in Bangladesh. I became surprised by thinking that our young generation is doing something or helping somebody who really needs it. You can see this “Wall of Humanity” just beside the Exim Bank Hospital, at Kazipara, Dhaka, Bangladesh.

What this wall does: From the photo you have got an idea, I think. Yes, the organizers of this Wall of Humanity select a wall of a road or lane. They paint it, screw some plastic hangers to hang used clothes or which we do not need anymore. They write their message in the banner to hang our unnecessary clothes from our wardrobes or anything else so that poor people can take the clothes or the thing from here. I have seen some people to hang their unnecessary clothes here. I have also seen some people to choose and take some cloths from here. To some of us, this can be a very small and simple effort, but to me, it has great value, great message to us, to the civilized human being. It reminds us of our duties for the wellbeing of others.

Hi @MukulR ,

This post is inspirational! The initiative they took is remarkable. Thank you for sharing with us your post about the Wall of humanity. We can give something small, and we can bring smiles in someones face. Is this initiative spread all over the country or only in Dhaka?

@InaS Thanks for liking this. Actually we need to do very little to make needy people happy. I saw this Wall of Humanity in two places in Dhaka. As this is a new idea, so I am thinking it will be in every district in the future.

@MukulR It really very useful idea. It’s much better than simply throw the clothes away.

Hi @OlgaKlimchik ,

Yes, it is really a very nice idea to use our useless clothes properly. I found two spots in our area. I really appreciate this initiative. People are leaving their clothes here and some people are also choosing and taking from here as well.

by the way, I have a post on Teacup here. I like to know about how people drink tea in Belarus. If possible you can share the photo of your teacup and the way you make tea.

Thanks once again for your nice comments.
