Hi! It’s my first post here after a long time. This was taken a months few back when I stayed in Manila to try working in a co-work space. It was after the rain I took this photo, never knew the wet road would give this so much effect to the overall. Walking through this bridge is such a treat, not only that it’s historical but it’s like walking to another portal to another side of Manila - which is Escolta - where personally I call it the “art district” of Manila, (good coffee around here too - check out “The Den”) and Binondo, Manila’s version of Chinatown.
It’s always good to stop and just be amazed on how random shapes of buildings comes in harmony together. Look! That’s the main office of the Philippine’s Post Office!
This is the other side of the Jones Bridge featuring the Filipino Chinese Friendship Arc…I think that’s what it’s called. If you go straight you’ll end up in Binondo, proceed right - Escolta & Sta. Cruz.
Good lights, great ambiance. Always an experience I would want to do from time to time.
Manila is city mixed with modern, and old architectures. I personally like it’s old style, it gives more home-y feels to it. If you’re going to walk around Manila, I recommend starting after lunch, 2PM or 3PM? You may start at the Luneta Park if you’re not familiar with the city, and then just go through whichever way you want to. After all, we are Local Guides, for sure we can get to places we want to be.
I usually post my random “photo walks” in Instagram when I have the time. If you want to see more, you can follow me: @ruridrinchi. Will post here too, from time to time!
Thank you for reading, if you reached this part! Keep your feet on the ground, appreciate little things and enjoy, indulge in the moment. See you around!
