In the past, walking apps were released by insurance companies.
Since a few years ago, more and more local governments have been developing walking apps.
The purpose is to promote the health of residents.
Kita Ward, Tokyo has released a walking app called “Arukita”.
The great thing about this app is that once a year, we can enter a lottery to win sweets and food in the ward.
This time, I won a set of baked sweets from Adria Confectionery in Higashi Jujo.
It’s a prize for the walking app, so of course I had to walk to the store to get it.
Adria Confectionery is located in a shopping street near Higashi Jujo Station.
As for the taste of the baked sweets… I think I’ll save it for the weekend:)
This is the first time I’ve been there, so I’m looking forward to eating them.
As a Local Guide, I am happy to have the opportunity to explore the stores like this.
More recently, there are walking apps that give you points in exchange for providing the location.
I don’t use them due to smartphone battery issues.
However, I would like to use it if it can be a trigger for walking around the city, like the walking apps by local governments.
What is your recommended walking app?
