Yes, we are staying at night. That was a magical experience.
Well, from Kupang, I think you should go to Komodo International Airport first.
Yeah @HoangDang it is. If you looking for some good experience in the middle of the jungle, I suggest you should go to this village.
@futnotecom I think I will need a local guide
It is beautiful view and great shot. What make Wae Rebo village mysterious with other village’s?
Hi @futnotecom
Thank you for sharing this beautiful photo.
It is @Radjasitanggang , the location of these villages is in the middle of the jungle. If you want to go there, you’ll have to trek for 4 hours. There no other way, the vehicle can’t get over there.
Besides the location, this village has a magical housewhich has received the highest award in the cultural heritage conservation category from the Asia-Pacific UNESCO in 2012.
Hi @Ggel
How are you?
Yeah @HoangDang
You will find it.
Thank you for your great information @futnotecom
@futnotecom thank you so much for this excellent information.
Read about this online - sharing the information for all - " Wae Rebo’s main characteristics are their unique houses, which they call Mbaru Niang that are tall and conical in shape and are completely covered in lontar thatch from its rooftop down to the ground. It appears that at one time such kind of houses were quite common to the region. But today, it is only this village that continues to maintain the typical Manggarai traditional house, without which these unique houses would have been completely fazed out."
