VUNG TAU CITY I LOVE

Vung Tau City is a city of Ba Ria - Vung Tau Province, in the Southeast region of Vietnam. Vung Tau used to be the economic, financial, cultural and educational center of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province and one of the economic centers of the Southeast region. From May 2, 2012, the provincial capital of Ba Ria-Vung Tau moved to the city of Ba Ria. Vung Tau is a coastal city, a tourist destination of southern Vietnam. Vung Tau is the logistics area of ​​Vietnam’s petroleum industry.

  • Population (2017): over 331,891 people
  • Climate: Tropical monsoon
  • Average temperature in the year: 26-28oC
  • There are 2 seasons:
  • The rainy season from May to October
  • The dry season is from November to April
  • Sea water: Average temperature of 25 - 29oC; salinity is often 32-35%.
    Vung Tau city is well known because it is the major tourist center of the province.
    Vung Tau city has two main mountains: Tuong Ky mountain (also known as Big mountain) is 249 meters high, Tao Phung mountain (also called Small mountain) is 170 meters high made of 521 rock samples, the rest of Vung Tau is a deep layer of sand, no matter how deep you dig, you will only see sand.
