Hey LA Local Guides!
Looking for something fun to do on Saturday 9/30? Come hangout with me!!!
I’m going to be volunteering on Saturdeay 9/30 at Rancho Los Amigos National Rehabilitation Center. Helping out with their annual Spinal Cord Injury Games.
The annual Spinal Injury Games are designed for the beginning or novice wheelchair sports enthusiast. They provide an excellent opportunity for participants to experience a variety of wheelchair sports. This event allows the individuals to actively participate in meaningful life-fulfilling leisure pursuits, thus acquiring a vast knowledge of opportunity and resources which contribute to a greater quality of life and overall health maintenance.

The recent Local Guide video series, Rolling On! has really inspired me to add Accessibility information to my reviews on Maps. I’m looking forward to getting to know some of these athletes and getting to know exactly what their challenges are. What do they look for when dining out or just going through everyday life? What little tips in a Google Maps review would be particularly helpful in making a decision to go or not?
Let’s make the world a better place for those with Accessibility needs. Better for our future, older selves as well! ![]()
