“Voices of the Map” is a virtual storytelling meetup series where Google Local Guides from diverse regions come together to share the personal and powerful narratives behind their favourite mapped locations. This series is designed to inspire individuals to contribute reviews on Google Maps while providing a platform to connect and share meaningful experiences.
Whether it’s the street corner where you watched your city’s independence parade, the humble café where your parents had their first date, or the mural that celebrates your community’s heroes, this event is a space to bring locations to life through lived experiences.
Each participant will spotlight a location they’ve reviewed on Google Maps and share a short story (2–3 minutes) about why that place matters. Other participants may follow up with questions and comments on each story.
Step into the heart of the places we love, not just through ratings or reviews, but through the stories that live within them.
