Many people knew about US-Canada border by just hearing about Niagara falls. I haven’t been sable to go there during my last trip. However, US-Canada border is renown to be the world’s longest international border, with 8,891 kilometers (5,525 mi) long. I have been to another part instead, the westernmost point of the Canada–United States border where Washington and Vancouver connects each other. I was there from US side.
It was a nice trip we went to Blaine, a small town next to the border where you can see Peace Arch History Landmark. With Covid-19 restriction, I couldn’t walk to see the monument closely but it was satisfied to at least see how it looks like. My friends told me you can actually walk up to the monument. No restriction at all if no Covid-19.
- It took about 3hours drive from Seattle to get here.
- Winter is not a good time to come here. It was unbearably cold that I couldn’t feel my ears anymore! On side note, I was comfortable on snowy mountain with snow everywhere.
- Spring is ideal, many flowers around the monument are blooming to give beauty and colour to it.
- It is the third busiest United States / Canadian border crossing for passenger auto traffic (2nd: The Detroit-Windsor Tunnel, 1st: Ambassador Bridge)
Me portraited with the Peace Arch Monument, stands at US-Canada border back in late 2020
