Otres beach is one of the beautiful beach among 7-8 beaches along Sihanouk Ville coastline. Otres Beach is about 5km south of the Serendipity area. It is long, that it is separated as Otres 1, 2 & Otres 3 beach. It has beautiful white sand that’s comparable to that of Koh Rong. If you do not want to take a ferry to the island, Otres beach is ideal for leisure activities and swimming. It is good for a family and kids. The water is shallow which is friendly to beginning swimmers.
Actually, there are other beautiful beaches that you can go in Sihanouk Ville, such as:
Sokha beach (private)
Independent beach,
Ochheuteal Beach (known as Serendipity area, most crowded beach among all),
Ream Beach at Ream national park,
Prek Treng Beach,
Koh Pos beach,
Victory beach,
Hawaii Beach,
Hill Beach Resort
Pram Pi Chan, and
Deum Chrey
Sihanoukville is a province in southwest Cambodia, known for its many white beaches, most beautiful tropical islands and the mangrove jungles of Ream National Park. It is the major cities among three biggest cities after Phnom Penh (the capital), and Siem Reap (the temple town). It is often known as the Beach town. Please note that Cambodian bays, especially Sihanouk Ville or Beach town, is entitled as one of the most beautiful beach in the world, among other 26 countries. I have been there, to many of the beaches and islands, and I can tell they are!
Sihanouk Ville is home to most beautiful islands and white sand beaches in Cambodia. I made a Google List of what to see in Sihanouk Ville here. I also wrote many articles from this beach town and coastal areas:
Wow @Sophia_Cambodia what lovely beaches and what a sunset. Congratulations great post that makes me want to visit Sihanouk Ville, name I guess is in honor of the former King of Cambodia, correct?
I think you have added some beautiful new photos in this post @Sophia_Cambodia Thanks for sharing this nice post. I found a similar (shadow) photo of me as of your third photo in this post. Stay safe.
It is absolutely correct @plavarda it was named in honor of the late King. Best time to visit this beach is from Dec to Mar. When it is dry but not too hot. I love this beach specially for its quietness. It is not crowded like others.
Indeed @MukulR someday when we cross paths, let’s do the photography together. I miss traveling so much. I can’t even visit my village due to the pandemic. It is getting worse now.
Agreed and I will be glad to take photos with you dear @Sophia_Cambodia . The pandemic situation is the same here. we are on the edge of the third wave and worse news coming every day. I missed a long vacation to visit my village last month and I am worried about the vacation coming next month. Nothing to do, let’s. hope and wait for the better future. Stay safe.
I understood, stay safe out there @MukulR Keep well and keep sharing here. I found Connect entertaining when we can see different things everyday from many places. That’s kind of healing.
