In case you intend to visit Lodwar, Kenya, brace yourself for the high temperatures, up to 30 degrees Celsius. My 3 day visit saw me dehydrate so much because of the rapid temperature change from my region to those of Lodwar and environs.
With that out of the way, I found the dwellers to be very hospitable and very kind unlike the way they have been branded by some local media houses as being very hostile and unwelcoming.
The main dwellers of Lodwar and Turkana and to say the truth, these people are very good and treat others with courtesy.
I would not recommend using road transport, at least for now as there are ongoing constructions of the road between Ortum and Kainuk and the major part from those points all the way Lodwar.
