Last month I visited a restaurant Denmark Tavern, the newly restored restaurant in Serampore. The place is historic and 232 years old. In 2009 people can hardly see a ruin as the place almost demolished.
With the help of Realdania, a private association in Denmark which supports philanthropic projects and the Department of Tourism and Government of West Bengal this place has restored to a beautiful restaurant. The restaurant is situated just front of Hooghly river.
In March 2019 ambassador from Denmark and other officials reopened this restaurant.
I visited this place with my family and we really enjoyed our ordered dinner. Tasted Danish roasted chicken, its awesome. Ambiance inside the restaurant is beautiful. Free wi fi service available as well.
If you ever visit Serampore don’t forget to visit this restaurant. Here are some photos from my album.
