Hello @To_paul

Come and see beautiful Africa.

Do you have any questions for him @Amooti2 .

I guess this is his/her first post.

@Ant_Bad_Yogi I know that Thailand has elephants but African Elephants are the largest land animals (mammals) on earth.

I hope I am not wrong :slightly_smiling_face:

@To_paul have you seen Elephants in its natural habitat? Not in zoos. Hahahaha.

I guess you may like to try that, as nature is truly beautiful.

@Amooti2 The photo of Murchison falls is breathtaking. How did you get to this park?

@Austinelewex I thought Blue Whale is the largest mammal, isn’t it?

I was waiting for you and @To_paul .

You’re right dear, Blue whale is but I am not wrong either. :slightly_smiling_face:

Because I said the Largest Land Animal, 555 not the largest animals on earth. :blush:

Hi @Amooti2 ,

Thank you so much for sharing these beautiful photos! Are you from Uganda? Looks like a really beautiful country with amazing nature around. The waterfall is just incredible.

I have always wanted to go on a safari and see giraffes. I’m sure this experience is really cool and exciting! Is it expensive to do a safari there? What other animals can we see? When would be the best time to visit?

Thanks! :slightly_smiling_face:

Hello @DanniS

I guess safari is prohibited in Uganda.

But I will wait for @Amooti2 to answer you.

You can go for sightseeing though. :grinning:

There are still only 400,000 elephants in Africa @Austinelewex
I think only poachers and rangers see elephants in nature.
Soon the elephants will also disappear.

@To_paul we don’t hope for that.

I believe the government is working very hard to protect this beautiful animals.

We are going to be seeing an increase. :slightly_smiling_face:

Elephants tusk (ivory) is prohibited in international markets.

We appreciate the international community for that.

@Austinelewex

Have you ever seen free elephants in the savanna?
They are on the verge of extinction.
At least so says IUCN Red List.
What are we talking about?

@Austinelewex

I saw 26 years ago elephants tied with a metal chain at their feet near a circus.
I didn’t go to the circus.
I was disgusted.
At the zoo I went to do volunteer work many times.
But I only visited the zoo twice.

@To_paul

Elephants roam free in some parks here in Africa.

I am aware they are endangered species.

friend @Austinelewex I know very clearly what a park is, but I know much more clearly what nature is.

I hope you understand the difference between park and nature better than me.

Hahah @To_paul

I don’t know anything better than you my dear Friend. We are all here gaining knowledge.

@To_paul you can help me with Nature and Park.

But to my best of Knowledge, Park is protected and hunting or poaching is prohibited by law.

Hi @DanniS

Am from Uganda and the country is well gifted with amazing nature and biodiversity and I guess it can be the best destination for your safari if you really love nature and the safaris are not expensive but just they depend on your choice whether you want luxury, mid range, or low range.

In this park you can see many animals such as elephants, Giraffes, waterbuck, Bushbuck, oribi, Jackson’s heartbeats, Antelopes, Crocodile also if you lucky you can have a chance to see lions and leopards.

The best time to visit would be in because you need to do early booking for your trip/safari and if you need more details am available thanks.

Am sorry for late response!
