Hello Guides,
I hope you are all well!
Today I want to share an incredible experience we had this May.
Despite the coldest May since 1967 here in Canada, the Tulips managed to show their beautiful colors and shapes, and bring joy to everyone, showing how beautiful nature and flower fields are.
We visited TASC Tulip Pick Farm (https://maps.app.goo.gl/5UxNtGJi64PU98mM6 ), a beautiful Tulip farm, located in Niagra-on-the-Lake. The farm is on a road with several wineries and breweries, and is very close to the lake and downtown Niagra-on-the-Lake, so it is a full-day tour, where you can plan an itinerary.
You can visit by purchasing tickets , which can be done online, or at the entrance. However, I recommend buying tickets online to guarantee your entry at a scheduled time, and avoiding the lines that happen (especially on weekends). A tip: if you can, visit during the week, as it is much quieter.
Each ticket entitles you to collect 10 tulips, and at the entrance to the farm, the staff will guide you on how to pick the flowers from the ground. In addition, as you walk through the flower beds, you will see signs with instructions on how to properly harvest them.
The farms are generally open from the last week of April to the second or third week of May, depending on how the flowers are blooming.
The tour is beautiful, and what made me even happier is that it is very accessible :
-
Parking with a reserved area for people with disabilities, and it is just a few meters from the entrance to the farm;
-
Chemical toilets with access suitable for walkers, wheelchairs and canes;
-
Food trucks with staff ready to guide visually impaired customers about the menu;
-
Flower beds with adequate space for all visitors to enter and photo points, with an accessible height for all visitors.
-
Flat ground for use with wheelchairs, walkers and canes.
The tour is great, and an experience that only happens in spring.
Here is my review, so that you can learn a little more about the space.
