I commute daily four hours for reaching work place and coming back to Home. My work and personal reasons make me roam a lot.
I like to contribute as I am allowed to put in opinion which I feel correct. I am thrilled that the persons from world visiting the place I opined would be able to look at my view point despite the fact that we have not seen each other. Independent several opinions of the place, food, atmosphere or culture would enable to decide whether to visit the place and what to be felt or seen. I do not need to have a special time for pro-bono like work. Google provides all assistance for such work inbuilt on google maps and contribute application. While moving, while understanding the local things or at any time after the visit of a place or after performing any activity I can make contributions on my own at leisure. Its great to feel like doing virtue at almost no cost or time. Its not known who shall be using the information I placed and doing it for the person unknown, who need it is a different joy. No need to know who places the information on map. Level of local guide, number of visits and quality of posts helps in decision making. An equal and level playing opportunity for small or tiny business independent of its size, business type, place of work to come on globe is provided by google map.
Importantly, I use the maps while on move to other cities and like to find the place on the basis of directions provided by the google map. It provides surety, confidence and saves time and I can direct the driver of the conveyance carrying me to the perfect location. This is awesome when you are alone and reaches perfectly at a place in time.
In fact, only after started posting on the local guides, I could learn more about what the local place has to offer. My interest about the relationship of Gandhiji, the father of nation, with Rajkot and the places that has been visited or lived by him in Rajkot was mainly fulfilled while amongst pursuing the posts on local guides. I could find out that Kishorsinhji School is the also the place in Rajkot where Gandhiji studied in addition to Alfred High School.
