Visit to Get Plastic Indonesia – MUN 5 Bali

:recycling_symbol: Visit to Get Plastic Indonesia – MUN 5 Bali | September 26

As part of the MUN 5 event in Bali on September 26, we had the opportunity to visit Yayasan Get Plastic Indonesia, an organization that focuses on innovative solutions to address the growing challenge of plastic waste.

The visit provided us with an insightful and educational experience, especially in understanding how plastic waste can be processed and converted into fuel through appropriate technology. Instead of viewing plastic waste solely as something that needs to be discarded, we learned about the potential to transform it into a useful resource through innovative waste-processing methods.

During the visit, we were introduced to the concept of processing plastic waste through thermal conversion technology, where plastic materials are processed under controlled conditions to produce fuel products. This approach demonstrates how innovation can provide alternative solutions for managing plastic waste that is difficult to recycle through conventional methods.

One of the most interesting aspects of the visit was seeing how environmental challenges can be approached from a different perspective. Plastic waste, which can remain in the environment for a very long time, can be collected, sorted, and processed as part of a circular approach to resource management.

The experience also reminded us that solving the plastic waste problem requires more than just recycling. It involves public awareness, responsible consumption, proper waste collection, technological innovation, and collaboration between communities, organizations, and other stakeholders.

Through this visit, we gained a deeper appreciation of the importance of taking action on waste management and exploring practical solutions that can contribute to a more sustainable future.

This was more than just a visit—it was an opportunity to learn, observe, and reflect on how innovation and responsible waste management can help us rethink the value of the materials we throw away every day.

:folded_hands:
