Visit a Beautiful Buddhist Temple in Bali-Vihara Amurva Bhumi

Now, I will tell you about one Buddist temple that I always visit with my friend. This temple is located near my village, in Blahbatuh Regency. That is one of my reason why I do prefer to pray in this temple. Beside that, this temple is also never fail to make my mind feel calm and fresh. The unique one of this temple is this temple is located under an old bridge. I always pray to this Buddist temple since I was in college. The first time I went to Vihara Amurvha Bhumi was with my cousin. It’s really awkward to entered this temple before because I thought that I am a Hindhu and I have to pray only in Hindu Temple not in Buddhist Temple. But she explain to me very well and I am happy I could visited this temple that time. Thanks a lot to her!

This temple was made to honor Hok Tek Ceng Sin “The Lord of Earth” as a buddhist belief. The Lord is also believed will give you fortune in wealth and love if you pray to him sincerely. One of the famous mantra to use to pray to Hok Tek Ceng Sin which is believed for change your future to be better is:

“Namo Samanto Motonam Om Turu Turu Tiwei Soha”

This temple has a really beautiful view. This temple is located under an old bridge and beside a river. The sound of the river just make my mind so calm. There are also a lot of big trees around the temple. It so refreshing. If you lucky, you will see some monkeys around the temple. When you go downstair from Vihara Amurva Bhumi, you will see the river and also a Small Hindu Temple. Somebody who also prayed in that temple told me that the place was made to honor Ratu Niang Sakti.

Beside the Hindu Temple, you will see a stair which will lead you to go to Gautama Buddha’s footprints and Gautama Buddha itself. Along the stair, on the right and the left sides, you will see a dragon statue. Which is really cool for me. sometimes, the way to go to the stairs is locked. But when it happen, we can use another way. We have to go back before we go downstair. So after I went to Hindu Temple, I went back and use another way to go to Gautama Buddha.

After that, I went to the inside of Vihara Amurva Bhumi to pray, The first place I prayed to was God Tian Gong. The God of Sky. Then, I prayed to God Hok Tek Ceng Sin, The God of earth. after that, I I prayed to Di Hu. Di Hu is a God in a tiger form. Usually the children will pray to Di Hu, hope they will grow strong and stronger.

Then, after finished to pray for my fortune, I prayed to Guan Yin Goddess and Buddha. They are together in one place. A lot of flower always ready on the altar for them. I really love Guan Yin Goddess. I think it’s because I always watched “Journey to the West” when I was child. I also really love Guan Yin’s lesson about life. You have to check it out. Its so healing.

The last place to pray is Gautama Buddha. We have another Gautama Buddha inside the temple. So we have two. One inside and the other one is outside that I told you before. Behind the Buddha Gautama, There is a big Bodhi tree. A tree that known in buddhism as a the place where the Gautama Buddha meditated and attained enlightenment.

Hi @Salendriii

What a wonderful place! I’ve also wanted to visit a Buddhist temple some day. It seems really interesting and peaceful. Do you live close by this temple? Do they have any rituals or prayers they perform? I’m sure it’s a wonderful experience and your video is really nice.

Thank you.
