Virtual Tour Sphere Image Order in Google Maps Listing

Hello, does anyone know how to change the featured image that goes into a 360 tour? I have searched the forum and haven’t found anything. Right now the main image is sending people to the back of the business instead of the front door or lobby!!

I’m still new to Street View. Thanks

!

Should this be in another category of the Forum?

Thanks for tagging me in @ShafiulB but I’m sorry, as far as I know the preview inside image is automatically choosen by Google, and we don’t have any control on it.

In any case, please, do not post the same topic in several forums. If you posted in the wrong forum (or there is a better place), moderators will move anyway. Now I merged your two topic but it looks rather silly this way.

@giancarloFL there may be a Yes & No answer to this…
PanoSkin have a method that they say is kinda a “hack”
In the upload project, you can select which images to include in the “carousel”, this is the images that will be visible on StreetView…
The way it works, is something like this, IF you uncheck images, in your case that would be all the images you DONT want to be starter images. then PanoSkin on upload of the tour, strip the location (probably GPS) data from those images and only use the linking-distance-angle data. took me a couple reads to get how that works.
SO… basically because only say one of your images carry proper location data, it will be the one thats picked up by StreetView when searching for a location… BUT because its part of a project of many images which were uploaded with linking data… you have active clicks to jump from sphere to sphere like you normally would have… but only the one or ones you chose to include location data into, will be visible in the search. BadaDum BadaBing :slight_smile:
Check out their process at PanoSkin.com
*Im convinced the other StreetView GUI’s have similar hacks, but since I use PanoSkin, thats the one Im familiar with.

Yes I know @ShafiulB but it’s really trivial, and not always work! Anyway, requires many trials :wink:

That’s the same with gothru, @BoLorentzen , thanks for your clear explaination. :wink:

@BoLorentzen and @ShafiulB

Thank you so much for your answers! For me it worked :slight_smile: :slight_smile: i noticed that one both platforms the general process was the same, removing the pictures from the carousel. So as i am on panoskin already, i tried it there. I unchecked the carousel from all of the spheres i preferred not as the main one and it worked like a charm, and i did not have to remove a google location it appears. Here is how it turned out. Thanks! :slight_smile:
