Virtual meet-ups round-up: July 30 to August 2, 2020

Since the introduction of the virtual meet-ups, Local Guides have been hosting more and more of them to connect with each other. Now that Google Meet is free for everyone, you can host meet-ups with even more participants.

This week, we rounded up some of the best upcoming virtual events to celebrate the great meet-up ideas and initiatives Local Guides are hosting around the world. If you’re interested in attending one of the meet-ups, you can RSVP directly on the page, but please only do so if you’re attending.

July 30, “World Friendship Day Meet-up

For International Friendship Day, @RtnArulPrakasamT is organizing a fun virtual meet-up. Local Guides from around the world are invited to celebrate the friendships that they have made through the program and share some fantastic memories with the rest of the attendees. July 31, “Four Years Of Connect

For the fourth anniversary of Connect, @KashifMisidia and his co-host @JaneBurunina invite you to share your Local Guides journey on the platform. To have some good time reminiscing with other community members, make sure toRSVP here.

August 1, “Lists for Google Maps Talk

After their successful Google My Business meet-up, @KarenVChin and @Kwiksatik are teaming up once again to host another great event, which will focus on Google Maps lists. They will share an introduction to lists as well as their tips and helpful examples, so if you want to participate, don’t forget toRSVP here.

August 1, “#StateChallenge Missouri

@Kwiksatik and @Denise_Barlock continue theirchallenge, where Local Guides have the chance to learn something curious about the different American states. The aim is to showcase the country’s beauty and diversity in a fun way. If you want to take part and test your trivia knowledge, be sure to RSVP here.

August 2, “Pueblos Mágicos 2da. Edición

#TeamTacos are back with part two of Magical Towns to visit in Mexico. For her meet-up debut, @Bere_Marichi teams up with @Janis_delaluz , @nelly_morales , and @Lucio_Brian_Santia . During to introduce some unique places like Cuetzalan, Coatepec, and Tulum. To participate in the meet-up, attendees should firstRSVP here.

Wow ,all the best to everyone having meet up I have already click RSVP for few meet up. Through virtual meet up we can know each other, get to learn new things. Some of them organized so well don’t feel to exit from there meet up.

It is sad to see that real-world or physical meetups are not considered @KlaudiyaG

I attend virtual meetups but also regularly conduct meetups on the ground to make a difference on the ground.
