Since the introduction of the virtual meet-ups, Local Guides have been hosting more and more of them to connect with each other. This week, we rounded up some of the best upcoming virtual events to celebrate the great meet-up ideas and initiatives Local Guides are hosting around the world. May 2, “Kerala Local Guides Virtual Ifthar Meet-up”
@Pafaizal is organizing a virtual Iftar, or “breaking of the fast,” to get together with the Local Guides community in Kerala, India. Participants can present their favorite local foods for the month of Ramadan. He is inviting all Local Guides who are interested, regardless of their country or religion, to RSVP here.
May 3, “Share your favorite place in Google Maps”
During this virtual meet-up hosted by @Saiyen , you will have the opportunity to share your favorite place in Bangladesh on Google Maps. If you decide to join, you could learn about historical places, tourist attractions, natural sites, and other hidden gems in this country. RSVP here.

@YuliiaZa is hosting a virtual meet-up in Ukrainian to talk about contributing to Google Maps as a Local Guide. She encourages all Local Guides from Eastern Ukraine to RSVP here.
