Meetup Description:
Local Guides around the world contribute in meaningful ways toward achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). From promoting responsible tourism and preserving heritage (SDG 11), to supporting gender equality (SDG 5), inclusive education (SDG 4), climate action (SDG 13), and sustainable cities (SDG 11), the work of Local Guides aligns deeply with global priorities.
This virtual meetup aims to bring together Local Guides to share stories, photos, and experiences that reflect their contribution to any of the 17 SDGs. We’ll also discuss methods to effectively document these contributions on Google Maps, Local Guides Connect, and Wikimedia platforms.
