RSVP to our virtual meet-up to learn what is the Local Guides Clean the World initiative. I, @KarenVChin , will be interviewing the creator of the Local Guides Clean the World, Connect Moderator @ErmesT .
Ermes will share what Local Guides Clean the World is. Why and how he created this “Powered by Local Guides’ initiative. And why you, as a Local Guide, need to get involved for you and your Local Guides Community.

@ErmesT I read his article on waste I think a year ago. That time I had mention there was a nalla behind my building & I am happy to say after trying hard for one year they covered it ,now it’s clean this time due to rain my bldg will not be choked up. We can open & clean the nalla & cover it.
@KarenVChin , Great idea. LGCTW is a great initiative. I hosted Beach Cleanup with my LG partner @kasunaaa
Celebrating Sri Lanka Independence Day. It was the best independence day for us cz we were able to do good for the environment that day. Exited to hear story from @ErmesT
@KarenVChin@ErmesT looking forward to this meet up. We have a reserve forest just beyond our gated colony campus, in the midst of the bustling city of New Delhi. It is home to a large number of birds. Our national bird, the peacock, live in large numbers there. They do drop into our campus as well. Along with a number of local residents I’ve been instrumental in cleaning the area up. I’m looking forward to gathering some more tips. Thanks for this again!
Do you have photos to share regarding the large number of peacocks living in the reserve forest? Do people go out and look for them? Here, in the wine country, Napa and Sonoma counties, wineries use peacocks as “watch dogs” or “guard dogs” because they make such loud noises.
@KarenVChin Hello! I’m sure I have some pictures. I’ll get hold of some of them from my fellow team members. Unfortunately, I was too busy working to remember to take pictures!
