Besides food, one of my favorite things to share as a local guide is photos and reviews of the hidden gems on Long Island where you can still find new, used and often collectible records. Vinyl is making a comeback and it’s great to see small businesses in the region embracing its return.
My son and I make it a point to brave the early hours and occasional bad weather on Record Store Day – or any day of the year – in search of good music and rare finds. I love being able to help others [re]discover record stores like I used to frequent when I was younger. Brings me back.
