Scenic View Point, Sun Gate or Suraj Pol, Jalore fort, Jalore, Rajasthan, India.
Jalore Fort is located on the peak of Golden Mount and this fort is having natural protection as surrounded by cliffs. It has only one access hiking trails which is strengthened by the provision of gigantic gates and strong wall with bastions and watchtowers. Bastions were equipped with cannons and forces were capable to sunk any enemy attack. Even Sultan Altumish was returned fruitless in 1228 AD. This impressive Hill Fort was mostly controlled by brave Rajputs. Along the way it has many vista points but close to the Sun Gate is quite appropriate. This is popular scenic viewpoint.
This viewpoint is not as large as supposed to be, located above the Sun Gate on a bastion where cannons are installed. As this is situated on the hiking trails, used to access the Jalore fort. This trail is off the road and challenging, and goes through huge granite rocks. This is not protected by railings, though it’s an excellent view point, which is naturally elevated and quite suitable, to enjoy the panoramic views of township, and surroundings background scenery without any visual support.
Visitors love to capture the scenic beauty at this point and carrying a binocular will enhance the joy. Don’t miss to have camera, power banks, Water and Binocular.

It’s quite impressive and prominent Hill Fort. Through this trails youngsters may take one and half hours to access the main Fort after crossing three entrance Gates. This view point is about two kms from the ground, and to access at least one hour upward trails to be completed.

Via this hiking trails, which is the only way to access the top where main fortress stands, needs 2 hours. And to access this view point we need one hour which is located along the first entrance gate.
