This has been going on since february 2024 and my image views are still not updating on google maps. Is this affecting anyone else?

Yes @mdgraphixx this is affecting everyone. We still get views, but Google has made a change in how views are counted and when the updated numbers are displayed.

If it is not fixed soon, all will stop contributing photos. There is no meaning if you don’t see which photos are good and which are not.

So far, I haven’t seen any evidence that your efforts have actually made a difference. It has been almost a year since the counts stopped working. A total number is shown, but the individual photo views have been frozen in place for more than a year. I am starting to doubt that Google intends to fix it.
Rather than spending time organizing messages about needed changes, why not focus your efforts on addressing the problem!!!

Hello @Loota where are you looking? I see you have photos with view counts as recent as 2 to 3 months ago. Doesn’t seem like your list has been frozen for a year.

I agree @tony_b observing my photos, I do see tons of changes. Most of the newly uploaded pictures show views within less than 12 hours. However, the older the photo and the bigger the number of views already shown, the less frequently and apparently with smaller deltas they are updated. When I watch at my photos with the biggest numbers of views, it really seems like “nothing happens”, watching more closely reveals the numbers do increase, but not frequently.
@Loota I I don’t know, but I guess, we either have to live with it or stop posting any media. In my opinion, it is not a bug, but a (non published) feature.

This reply is intended for the Google Expert who joyfully announced in April 2024 that the count feature was restored!!
Wishful thinking! Apparently, you do not have a Google Maps account. If you did, you would know that the problem has NOT been addressed!! If you pay attention to what users are reporting, you would know that the view counter is not working. In some cases it is reporting NO views at all for recent postings. In other cases, the counts that were increasing daily have not changed in months and months! The total number of views appears that it may be working, but there is NO way to confirm that since most of my 500 pictures have been stuck, they are not continuing views on an ongoing way. If Google Maps hopes to continue having photographers submit pictures, they would be wise to fix the problem. Apparently, there is no serious intention by Google to address these problems. Please stop sending me glowing emails about how wonderful it is that I am contributing to Google Maps. The pleasure is all yours, not mine.

Hi! My photo views’ graphic curve is always a perfect ascending straight line (like other users’ too). Isn’t this a little strange? Wouldn’t they be exponential, as I keep adding new photos, or variable? As I think photo views count are exaggerated (I know they count impressions, not real clicks), I started to doubt if the curves are real or not. What’s your opinion?
