I have both the Google Maps and Street View app on my phone. When I check my total view count on Maps, it says that it’s around 42.000, but when I check the Street View app, this number is at 52.000. Why is there such a big difference between the two, and which one is more accurate?
Hi @Havard_Tonning and welcome on Connect!
First question: have you checked that all the 360° photos on the StreetView app are on Maps?
Sometimes it can happen that the publication between the two platforms is not so immediate, and therefore there may also be 24/48 hours of difference between the two platforms.
A few months ago there was actually a problem with counting photos, see this post: Known Issue: [RESOLVED] Photo view count not updating
but the problem now seems solved.

Thank you for both the reply and the tips.
The thing is, I don’t have any 360 photos uploaded, because I am not satisfied with the quality of the photos from my gear 360 (2017). That’s the reason the difference is making me wonder, since I don’t have any content that would be specific to Street view. I get maybe a little over 500 views on a good day, so 10 000 views is a big difference between the two.
Anyway, thanks for your kind help.
There is a reported issue about the views on the Street View app, that is not actually showing the total views of 360 only, but is adding in there also your visualization as a Local Guide, for the "standard photos added on Maps.
A difference si always possible, because the two databases are not continuously synchronized.
Regarding the quality of your photos, if your phone have a gyroscope, you can get a very good quality just using your mobile. Please read: Create or import 360 photos . It takes time to learn how to use the phone on the appropriate way, so feel free to ask for some tip, if you need
